Hello BP (my title is too short)
Hey Folks,
I've been creeping around BP for a couple weeks. Great community here. The podcasts and webinars are addicting. The mix of 25% Humor and 75% down to business is a great way to learn. Recently I bought "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". Simple read, but great underlying message. I own a few houses and BP has already instilled in me the drive to want to turn these into actual cashflow. Last year I bought a house for 20,000. I rehabbed myself for 7000. Today I am filling out an application to refinance at ruffly 40000. I am very pleased with the turn out. The majority of the money earned is going to pay off my student loans(4-6%interest). This in return will free up 200$ more a month to reinvest.
Random question. How are the gains on REIT's taxed? Taxed like the stock market?

@Alex Blossom Welcome. Sounds like you are already on your way. Keep it up. I will leave your question for someone who is more familiar with how the taxes are worked out. Good luck with your investments.
