Hi, I’m Laura a newbie to Real Estate investing currently living in Inglewood CA (near LAX) Born and raised on the west side of town (lol) i.e. the beach cities, Santa Monica, Venice and Culver City. I currently work for a credit union (15yrs). I haven’t made my first Real Estate deal yet, I guess I’ve been afraid of major debt. However, I’ve been preparing for quite some time, and by that, I mean, making sure my credit is in good shape, don’t have any debt outside of monthly living expenses and I’ve saved a bit. Aside from working fulltime at the credit union, I’m also an onsite resident manager for a 14-unit apartment complex in Inglewood for a number of years. I came across the BP YouTube page, and It set me free. I watched the episode with Paula Pant and decided it is time... NO more fear! So, with all that said, I’m looking for my first deal. I applied for pre-qualification conventional loan, was approved. I did it just to see how hard the loan it would be. I don’t think I’ll find a property in the 90-day window, but I needed to see the process. I hope to develop good business relationships with many of you, and learn the ropes from you pros. Written from my desk on a rainy Saturday…
