@Account Closed

Hi Jorge, Thanks for the welcome... Now that I know what FIBI means, I will certainly look into it as education is surely needed.

@Clarence Johnson

Yes, I will explore more purchase options for sure. I applied for the loan, mainly to see how it was going to go. You hear nightmare stories, however, it was not bad. I read or heard someone mention you should look around your choice areas by about a 20-mile radius. There are many areas in LA that I like and would be open to. So I'll take your advice and look at 90047 and see what there is. Please keep me in mind... Thanks

@Tim Ostrom

FIBI, haha, I wouldn't have guessed that.. I'll look at meetup.com and see what their about, thanks. House hack, doesn't sound like a fit for me.  I'm comfortable as resident manager , though I think I'd keep it under wraps if I was the owner. I'll have someone else, take care of rent collections and maintenance request. Thanks again for the info. And  please continue to share if there is something you think will help me along.

@Maeve Cummings ,

Hi Maeve, Yes, I know Inglewood is going to be a tough nut to crack.  I welcome maybe meeting with you sometime. Maybe you'll let me ask a few questions. I had hoped not start so far out of Los Angeles, but I'm open to listening to thought on it.

@Clarence Johnson ,

Hi Clarence, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. I'd like  a 2-4 units property and live in one of the units or SF if I can produce cash flow. The loan is 30 yrs with 20% down

@Tim Ostrom ,

 Hi Tim, No I haven't attended any meeting or meet any others in the form. But, I think it would be great to meet others that are local. I don't know all the abbreviations FIBI ( I'm a newbie :/).  but, in terms of what I'd like to do is a 2-4 units, living in one. or SF if I can produce cash flow.

Hi, I’m Laura a newbie to Real Estate investing currently living in Inglewood CA (near LAX) Born and raised on the west side of town (lol) i.e. the beach cities, Santa Monica, Venice and Culver City. I currently work for a credit union (15yrs). I haven’t made my first Real Estate deal yet, I guess I’ve been afraid of major debt. However, I’ve been preparing for quite some time, and by that, I mean, making sure my credit is in good shape, don’t have any debt outside of monthly living expenses and I’ve saved a bit. Aside from working fulltime at the credit union, I’m also an onsite resident manager for a 14-unit apartment complex in Inglewood for a number of years. I came across the BP YouTube page, and It set me free. I watched the episode with Paula Pant and decided it is time... NO more fear! So, with all that said, I’m looking for my first deal. I applied for pre-qualification conventional loan, was approved. I did it just to see how hard the loan it would be. I don’t think I’ll find a property in the 90-day window, but I needed to see the process. I hope to develop good business relationships with many of you, and learn the ropes from you pros. Written from my desk on a rainy Saturday…
