@Eric Brinson I believe it is a matter of preference. You have to decide what your goals are and find out how much time you can spend taking the steps needed to work on your chosen path in real estate investing. From what I have read on here I think the best way to start is house hacking. Basically buy a duplex triplex or 4-plex and live in one unit and rent out the others. That will teach the basics of real estate ownership and real estate management. But again that is just one man's opinion.
