Hi all. My name is Josh Dunwoody from Altoona, Iowa. I'm fairly new to real estate investing. I flipped a house out of college before I knew it was cool or even the right way to do it. (It successfully paid for a ring and a honeymoon at the time so I considered it a success!) I have spent the past few weeks educating myself and just went to my first REIA meeting this week (it was just as good an experience as everyone says it will be). I have a solid construction background so the world of real estate feels like a good fit.

My strategy is to invest in multi-family buy and hold properties in the Des Moines metro area to build a portfolio strong enough to achieve financial freedom in the near term and possibly to get into commercial properties down the road. I will be starting to analyze deals over the next couple of weeks to get some practice in and intend to purchase my first property as soon as possible after the first of the year. I am loving all that BP has to offer and am excited to be a part of the community!
