Hi everyone,

Long time reader/lurker first time poster.

I'm a new(er) Real Estate Investor in Lincoln, NE looking primarily for buy and hold properties.  I have a little bit of experience with a single rental property I held for three years and recently sold in May of this year because the Market was prime for selling but I have the bug again and am looking to dive back into the Real Estate world.

I've been listening to a lot of the bigger pockets podcasts and am ready to put my inaction aside and go for my goals to provide for a more secure future for me and my family.  I put together a plan for my actions and set my ambitious, yet feasible, goals that I feel that I can obtain in the next five years if I stick to my plan.

I'm interested in meeting other investors in the Lincoln, NE and discussing the local market and any opportunities that I can bring to the table.  My target for the next five years is to acquire two properties per year that cash flow.

Currently, I work full time for a local software company so my investing will be done in my spare time and I will be looking for local property management companies for assistance with managing the properties (any referrals would be appreciated :) ) as I keep pretty busy with two young children.

Anyways, I look forward to being more active in the forums and finding more information/education from being more involved with bigger pockets.

Take care,

Jared

Sounds like similar goals I have. There is a great local investor meeting that meets the second Monday of every month between 7-9 at Grata in the clock tower.

As you know now is a tough time to find amazing deals that cash flow since you just recently sold your property but there out there.

Keep learning and good luck. I'll keep you in mind if I come across anything
