I am interested in become a real estate investor, primarily as a hold and rent.  I am currently in a course for this and looking into resources, came across "BiggerPockets".

    What he might not have told you already is most accredited private lenders mostly look for track record from the people they hand money to for deals, as a new investor its hard to solicit for private money without any experience.  The ones that do get private money from day one, it usually comes from friends or family or someone that will invest in you PERSONALLY as opposed to your experience in the business.
