New To Bigger Pockets

Hey everybody! I'm new to Bigger Pockets and real estate investments altogether. I've done a little reading on here and everybody I have talked to that knows about real estate speaks very highly of the community here. I have A TON of questions, some of which may be looked at as silly, but I really hope the good folks here help me navigate these waters so I can pass this knowledge on to the younger generation. A little about me - I'm 29 years old and live in Newark, DE, about a mile from University of Delaware (Joe Flacco is overrated), and work in the banking industry, a profession I would like to depart from in the next year or so. No wife, no kids, no true responsibilities other than my job, home, family, girlfriend and personal interests. In other words, why not take the opportunity to better my life while I have the chance? I'm very self-aware. I have done a ton of research, but the only thing I truly know is that I don't know it all. A good friend of mine has been working in real estate for quite a few years now, he has acted as a mentor, but I often feel bad leaning on him with too many questions. Also, I think there's value in getting the opinions and guidance of many experienced investors. My interests at this time are mostly fix and flips. I would like to eventually work on to full renovations and potentially use profits to build a rental portfolio in the future. I would also like to learn how to execute wholesale sales (not sure if there's a term for this that I'm missing?). I could talk for days, but for now I'll simply leave this as a long-winded introduction. I look forward to getting to know many of you. I hope to make it long enough in this business to even potentially partner with a few of the brilliant minds here. I'm here to learn and grow, so if you have wisdom to bestow upon me, by all means, please do so. Thank you for reading!
