hi everyone, I just started thinking about getting into real estate. I'm currently reading Brandon's book "the book on rental property investing" and it is really shedding some light on what's all involved in real estate investing. As of right now, I am just trying to gain knowledge from books and what not before I dive into anything. I want to go in with a good head on my shoulders and a plan! Any advice or comments on what I should read next or be doing would be much appreciated! Also any tips on stuff to check out on this site would be good too!
Thanks!

@Mike Kerr - If you're a book reader, Don R Campbell is the an author of Canadian specific real estate investing books and are a good start. Once you decide on where to invest, there are other books I'd recommend you read. For example, Quentin Desouza has a great Ontario specific landlording book.
If you are into podcasts, look up "Mr. Hamilton" by Erwin Szeto and the "Investor Lawyer" podcast from Barry McGuire.
Personally, I learn the most from meeting other investors. So I go to as many local meetups as I can. I attend two regularly. One downtown in the Annex and another in Newmarket. I know of two in KWC, which might be easier for you to get to. Let me know if you're interested and I can send you all the links!
Cheers,
Ming
