Hello from Palm Springs California!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Derek and I am new to BiggerPockets.  After years of kicking around the idea of getting into RE Investing, now!, I am finally in a position to jump in.

I currently live in Southern California, specifically the Palm Springs area, and one of the reasons that I am here on BiggerPockets is to connect with other Californian investors who invest in and out of state.

I've always heard that investing in California is extremely difficult due to tenant laws and being priced out of cash positive opportunities, BUT I figure that there has got to be people doing it who are successful and that are willing to share their knowledge or opinions of how to successfully invest here.

I'm also open to investing out of state if need be.

Anyhow, I'm very happy to be a part of this group and I look forward to starting a dialogue with you.

Sincerely,

Derek

@Jo-Ann Lapin Welcome and congratulations!

If you are looking at out-of-state opportunities feel free to check out the "2016 Rental Income Report" I helped put together that breaks down the best ROI opportunities (for short-term rentals) for Aribnb owners/investors.

Once you get a place out-of-state, and our in need of professional physical management, feel free to reach out to me via phone or direct message, and I would be happy to get you in touch with one of the many Airbnb rental managers that have connections with across the country.

I hope this is helpful.
