New member investing in Augusta, GA from Jacksonville, FL

Hello All! First, thank you to Brandon and Josh for the awesome podcasts, and to the overall community for this amazing resource of a site. I’ve been absorbing all biggerpockets has to offer over the past 6 months, listening to the podcasts, reading the books, running numbers on deals etc. And now, I’m finally ready to start investing in buy and hold properties in the Augusta, GA area. I live in Jacksonville, FL and travel extensively for work, but am looking at Augusta, GA for investments. My background is in ecommerce, both start-ups and rapid growth for existing sites, but I’m looking to expand into real estate to hit my financial freedom goals. Specifically, I’m looking at the standard 3 bed 2 bath single family homes. I’m trying to build my team so I can manage these properties remotely. @Ryan Rauschenbach Hi and welcome to BP! I am curious as to why you are focusing on Augusta, GA as oppossed to your own backyard in Jacksonville? JAX is where I started my REI, and it still seems like a great place to invest today.
