@JD Martin Just say for the future, give or take 3 - 5 years.  What should I do with my saved money instead of letting if sit in the bank? Is there anything I could do with it so it will grow more than just sitting in the bank but still will be easily accessible when I do decide to use it for a down payment on an investment property. I'm just trying to figure out a better place for my money since its not doing anything in the bank and I'm not ready to use it quite yet.  Thanks for the response.

Hey everyone! I'm saving for an investment property and was wondering if I could get your opinions on where I should be holding this money or what I should do with this money, so it grows (more than sitting in the bank) and is easily accessible to use when I do need it for my investments.

@Rick Santasiere, great insight Rick! I think that is a great tip, I'm going to try making it down to Fairfield and hopefully get up to Rocky Hill and Manchester sometime.  I'll definitely keep in contact. I know that I won't make it on this journey alone.  Thanks for the support.

@Carissa Gulyas@George Paiva @Mark Proctor I hope to meet you guys at the meet up.  This will be my first time going to one, I'm pretty excited about it. Thanks Carissa for the hook up.

@Ahmed Ogunbunmi, good to have you on board as well.  I will definitely check out the networking events. Good call.

@Tom Ott, thanks for the welcome Tom, I hear the term turnkey quite often on BP podcasts, but I'm not really sure what that is.  Do you mind explaining exactly what that entails?

@Mark Proctor, thats great Mark.  That is exactly where I want to be! If you don't mind me asking, what were some of the critical mistakes that you made when you first started off? By the way, I might actually now your friends from Seymour.

@Rick Santasiere, I'm thinking New Haven county would be ideal to get my foot in the door, but if there's a good deal else where, I'm all in to take it on.  Rick, what do you invest in and how did you get started?

@Carissa Gulyas, thats awesome.  Where was the RE investing group that you went to? I'm definitely interested in going to a local meet up, let me know.

I appreciate you all reaching out to me. I look forward to meeting you and helping you in anyway possible.

Hello everyone! My name is Jason, I am new to bigger pockets and new to real estate in general. I'm on bigger pockets to get to get to know all of you and learn as much as I can about real estate investing. I'm interested in buy/ hold and fix and flip strategies. I have experience in architectural design and engineering. I'm currently saving as much as I can so I can get started. I'm looking to buy a multi family home as my first purchase, hoping to use the BRRR strategy to get going in the right direction. I look forward to meeting and networking with all of you.

If you're investing in the CT/NY market, I just wanted to ask how you are making out and how you got started in real estate investing? Is the market doing better in anyway? Is it more of a buying market or renting market?

Thanks guys.

Jason.
