hello all. I am here to learn all that I can about real estate investing. I am a SR at Oklahoma state university graduating in December and I would then like to get into real estate investment (sooner rather than later). I'm completely new to this and only know what I have heard on the BP podcast but I'm here to adsorb information and learn all I can.. Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome John! Congrats on being so close to graduation, I just graduated from OSU this month! I got my real estate license a couple months ago and I am currently an agent with Keller Williams Real Estate in Stillwater. I am about to move to Tulsa but let me know if I can help you with any of your real estate goals! I've lived in Stillwater for about 6 years and I am also hoping to start investing soon.

BiggerPockets has a ton of helpful information. I'd suggest trying to get familiar with the different types of investing you could do, and set some goals after determining which path you want to take. For example, if you are pretty handy you could look at doing fix and flips or buy, rehab, rent, refinance.

Another suggestion is to study the process of analyzing deals, and then go see what kind of returns could be expected from real estate in different areas.

Best of luck!
