Newb in Orange County, CA

Hi everyone, my name is Chris and am just getting started in my real estate education. I have been reading some great books on building long term wealth using different facets of real estate investment and it has got me interested in real estate as a whole, but with a specific interest in buy and hold. I have just recently become aware of BiggerPockets and have now been listening to the podcast religiously.

I have a career as an engineer and absolutely love what I do. My dream for my real estate endeavors would be to slow build a property base that would eventually provide my income allowing my engineering profession to be a well paying hobby or give me the ability to start my own engineering company.

Non-real estate-wise I also am an avid musician, playing guitar in a terrible metal/hard rock band that somehow Google actually recognizes.
