New Member from the Washington DC Metro Area

Hello BP Family.

My name is Parrish Weaver.  I am currently residing in the Washington DC metropolitan area (born and raised in Chicago); but I have lived all over the world as I am a retired U.S. Navy Veteran (24 years of service).  

I am fairly new to real estate investing and very eager to learn and grow....which is what lead me to BP.  

I am interested in buying and hold strategies particularly with multi unit apartment buildings.  My short term goal is to secure my first building by the end of year.  My long-term goal (like some of you) us to be financially independent within 5 years.
