New member from overseas

Hi,

I'm looking to get my feet wet in real estate investing, learning more and figuring out which strategy works best for me. I would like to balance a supplemental income with building wealth for the future. I imagine I need to start by reinvesting my returns into more investments. My particular challenge is that I live overseas, though I do come in to the States a couple of times a year. Any suggestions, tips would be very welcome.
