Post: Thoughts on Doug Clark Real Estate Training

Good afternoon, all.

I hope that you are each having an enjoyable weekend.  Please forgive me if this ends up being a rant but have any of you had any dealings with the Doug Clark Real Estate Training? I attended a free session in March then a paid "training" session on April 10-11.  Quite frankly, they leave a lot to be desired once you do not have the money to purchase their training courses. They did not walk with sufficient workbooks for the registrants and only seemed interested in selling their training.

Additionally, I made the mistake of paying cash to purchase one of their Structured LLC registrations that are done via Veil Corporate. That was done on April 11 and they have yet to find my payment as of today.

Are there any steps that can be taken on my part as they have soured me even before I even started any real estate business?

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.

Thanks, Russell.  I shall make use of the site.  My country's real estate market has a weird dynamic as the prices are overinflated.  Unless you are extremely wealthy, most cannot afford to purchase a house.

@David Bokman I appreciate the candour and do realise that this will be a difficult venture.  My current job does not allow me the time to do any bird-dogging though.

@Kim Ford @Brandon Beverly Thank you both for the advice. My only issue is that I am not a resident of the United States and I will likely have a hard time getting deals done without the LLC setup. I am open to correction. I was looking to do some wholesale deals when I got the LLC registered.

Good day, everyone.

I hope that all is well.  I wanted to find out what is the best way forward for someone like me who definitely is lacking in financial resources.  I went to a seminar where one of the presenters advised that individuals in my predicament should try to build a Power Team and set up Wholesale deals for quick cash.

However, I am having an issue with the trainers and their law firm over a misplaced payment that I gave them for the registration of a structured LLC in Utah.

It is really frustrating.  This seems to be an excellent site for garnering information.  I appreciate any insights that can be provided to me.

I am eager to learn and do look forward to developing many lasting professional relationships as a result of this site.

Best regards,

John

Good day, all.

I came on here to provide a brief introduction.  I'm John Cozier and I hail from the beautiful island of Trinidad.  My educational background is Finance and Economics (I have a BSc in Finance and Mathematics and a PhD in Economic Development Policy). I am also an avid horse (and horse racing) aficionado and currently work for a regulatory body in my country.

To be honest, I am an extreme novice as it pertains to the real estate industry. However, I am interested in learning more about investing in U.S. real estate. I do look forward to deepening my understanding of its inner workings and developing lasting working relationships. This is what brought me to BiggerPockets as I came across this website while doing a Google Search on how to develop your real estate Power Team.

I look forward to my journey. Feel free to contact me for any discussions.  Enjoy the rest of your day and best of luck in all of your future ventures.
