Young Professional from Houston Getting Started in RE Investing

Hi,

My name is Adrian. I'm based out of Houston and finally decided to join the BP forums after listening to podcasts and reading articles for the past couple of years

I'm primarily interested in buy and hold investing, but will need to make a couple wholesale/flips before I can buy and hold

I currently have a multi-family property that I'm about to get under contract in the East End of Houston. I found the opportunity by knocking on doors and basically asking people if they wanted to sell their home.

This particular seller is a senior who wants to move back to Mexico and does not want to deal with tenants anymore.

I'm getting a really good price on it, but I need direction on how to fund the deal. Basically the comps around the area are all at least $100k more (conservative). So my plan is to buy it and sell it right after (maybe a double close?), I could also do a wholesale.

This is my first deal and I hope this forum can provide some guidance on how to proceed, and how to get started in the exciting world of RE investing.
