Like so many others, I'm a newbie. I own my own home and have been thinking about investing for several years but didn't think I was financially ready to do so. My wife and I have stable income and good jobs so we're now ready to get into the game.  I have what I think to be a relatively achievable goal of doing 1 flip this year and making $5,000 profit.  My wife is a bit more risk adverse so we're going to start small and see how it works out.
