Hey BP Community,

My name is David, and I'm completely new to Real Estate Investing.

I recently left my Corporate Job in online advertising for other pursuits. My wife-to-be and I have gotten pre-approved, and we're in the market to purchase our first multi-family. Having fully digested Brandon Turner and J Scott's books we're convinced that House Hacking is the right way to start - eventually building our buy-and-hold portfolio.

Only problem is that the inventory here is so tight that the prices have skyrocketed in and around Boston. We'd rather not risk buying at the top.In addition, that 1%-2% rule Test doesn't exactly fly; it seem more like .05%!

Regardless, I'll be hitting up the local meetups (Black Diamond, REIA, etc) and hopefully extend my network. I look forward to connecting with the BiggerPocket members here. Learn from those who have done this, and eventually give back!
