I'm so thankful that I came upon this community, blog and podcast. I'm really excited to get started in real estate investing, but to be honest I'm a little intimidated on where to begin! I've been drawn to real estate my whole life, but school, career, and the high price of entry in OC have kept me on the side-lines.

I love the opportunity for lifestyle freedom that real estate can provide, along with the gratification of having something tangible to show for hard work done well. At this point, I'm not sure what my strategy will be: to invest locally or outside state lines; to buy and hold or fix and flip; to roll my own financing for the first few deal(s) or look to private investors; single family or multi-tenant etc. I do know that I have a great network of contacts through business and friends, and with BiggerPockets and other great minds out there, opportunity is just around the corner!

@Talon Ellithorpe

Welcome to BP. There is a local meetup in Lake forest every month that you should check out. http://meetu.ps/2QWCkh

If you would like to meet up before then and talk about investing let me know. I am in Mission Viejo and can meet at a Starbucks.

I just finished purchasing my next project at the court house steps and will get started with the rehab soon.
