New member from Newark, NJ
Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking on the site for a few months now and wanted to finally introduce myself to the community. I'm a new investor from Newark, NJ. My near term goal is to buy my first buy and hold property (2-3 fam) in Newark or another city along the NJ Transit rail corridor.
As an inexperienced investor, I plan to stay away from the more challenging neighborhoods in Newark and have so far focused on my immediate surrounding areas (Ironbound & Lower Broadway). Since the market is tight here at the moment I have not yet been able to find a deal and will start expanding my search to similarly stable working class neighborhoods in other cities (thinking about Elizabeth & Rahway).
Recommendations for investor friendly agents in the area would be much appreciated!
