Hi,

I am based outside of Chicago and I am planning for 2016 to be the hear I build my real estate portfolio for passive income. I am new to REI in rhe US (I am drom the UK), so I have a lot to learn and pick up. One concern for rentals in IL is the property tax, but I am looking to all of the details and will be looking outside IL too once I get rolling.

Thanks,

Nick

@Nick Robinson Welcome to BP!  Definitely do take a look across the border in NW Indiana, where taxes are much lower and the landlord environment is much friendlier.
