Hello to my Bigger Pockets Family!

  My name is Lisa Jones and I'm an active duty servicemember aspring to transition into a lifestyle and full time career as a real estate investor.

 I moved to the DMV area 3 years ago and have attended several seminars that initially sparked my interest into real estate investing. I've purchased several books as well as attended multiple webinars to further educate myself in real estate investing.  Finding biggerpockets.com was a gamechangers and has helped me learn a lot and now I am finally ready to take the next step: INPLEMENTATION!!

  As a first time expecting mom, NOW more than ever is the right time to make a move towards financial freedom. I grew up with parents that worked multiple jobs and barely had enough time to spend with my sibilings and I. This is not the life I want for me or my child.

  I come to biggerpockets as a member seeking mentorship as well as lifelong friends in all areas of real estate investing who would like to join me on the path of financial freedom and an escape from the dreaded rat race. I am open to learning and very excited to meet you all.

1) Thank you for your service to this country.  I mean that.

2) I am in the same boat.  Wholesaling is hard and you really have to know a lot to make it happen.  I recommend you start with every podcast you can get on BP and also start reading.  Al long as you understand it is not a get rich quick deal, you should do just fine. 

3) Get involved in the forums and ask questions.  People on BP are unusually friendly and have lots to share.
