Hello friends,

My name is Sherry Mijal and many, many moons ago I obtained my Wisconsin Brokers License, worked in the field in the mid eighties, and had three deals fall through.  That was enough to have me put my real estate career on hold and start working for a weekly paycheck.  Here I am thirty years later picking up where I left off.  I am in the process of getting my real estate agent license again, because I was not smart enough to keep the brokers license I had active, I just let it lapse.

A little more about me, it has always been a lifelong dream of mine to invest in real estate, i even bought Carlton Sheets, No Money Down program.  During those years I could not get my husband onboard with me, so nothing ever became of it.  We worked in the rat race living paycheck to paycheck.  I recently divorced him and I am going to make my dream finally come true.  Well, at least I hope my dream will come true.

I say hope because since the divorce my credit isn't the greatest, I have a large student loan and I am currently a CNA, so my income is minimal.  I do have some cash-on-hand but it isn't a whole lot.  My situation is quite complicated, I guess, and fear holding me back.

I have been listening to the BP podcasts for months now which has helped me gain a little bit of confidence and also learned that I have to put my thoughts into action.  My 2016 resolution is to have a property bought and rented in the next few months.

I have realized that my financial situation is not so uncommon and I can overcome any obstacles in my way with help from all of you.

So, what I am hoping for is to find real estate investing group meeting in my area so I can meet with others who share my passion and are willing to offer suggestions as to aquiring my first property.  I am hoping to find a mentor.

I am looking forward to conversing with all of you people about real estate investing and to help me eliminate my fears.

I also want to thank Josh and Brandon for all that they do to make dreams reality for so many and inspiring me again.

Thank you!

A humbled newbie,

Sherry
