New Philadelphia Investor

Hi everyone! My name is Uche Anusionwu (first name pronounced “oo-chay”), and I'm a partner in a newly formed Philadelphia based real estate investment venture that focuses on residential property investments.

Background: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance and an MBA (both from Temple University). My professional background has been in commercial and middle market banking at PNC Bank and Wells Fargo, Bank and investment banking at Merrill Lynch (now part of Bank of America) where I specialized in raising debt financing for equity sponsor groups and other middle market companies.

With regards to real estate, I’ve been passively involved, renting out a duplex for decent cash flow, and continuing to educate myself about the industry. Today, together with a number of like-minded partners we are ready to kick off our real estate business. Right now we are focused on building our team (contractors, accountants) and fine tuning our investment approach.

Markets:Primary market of interest is the general Philadelphia metro area. I have a couple of specific areas of interest which I am willing to expound on.

Strategy:

  • Buy and hold - single family or duplexes
  • Flips
  • Seller financed or all cash transactions

We can do a number of structures but ideally either seller-financed or all-cash transactions, with or without partners.

Looking For:Potential partners and support network contacts. Real estate agents, private money lenders, accountants and other Investors. I am interested in finding ways we can work together. But most importantly, I wish to learn as much as I can from the BiggerPockets community.

What I Bring:Finance, business experience and a passion for real estate. I'm looking forward to contributing my knowledge and skills to the BiggerPockets community, provide my perspective and form constructive dialogue on the issues facing our industry.

I also look forward to opportunities to raise financing for our projects as well as make investments as a principal buyer.

Cheers to all BiggerPockets Members and Happy New Year!
