Welcome to BP!

You may already know but the website for the tax lien listings is dailycourtreview.com,You have to subscribe or can have the newspaper delivered to you. Also there is the publicans.com website that also lists them and you can check if the owner paid what they owed and was struck off the list. The website is a little tricky but the more you use it the better it gets. Also there is hcad.org which you can compare the size of the lot and the description of the property. But please do your due diligence,The majority of these homes need work.  Some have people living in them some don't. Be careful, but you really want to get a look from the inside if possible. It may look good from the outside but the inside is gutted. Trust me I learned the hard way. Auction is held every 2nd tuesday of the month in downtown. Can't remember the address but it's on the website. All you need is your ID or license and you can bid. Take a cashiers check or cash. They will not give you time to go get the amount due.Go check it out first and get a feel for it. Run the numbers and dont let your emotions get the best of you.

Hope this helps. Any more questions just let me know.

Santos
