I have no experience in real estate at all. I am 23 and live in Indiana. I am very eager to jump into real estate. I currently work doing logistics for a trucking company. I read books such as rich dad poor dad and the book on investing in real estate with no or low money down. I don't have much money and still need a lot of guidance even though I read the books. I have a million questions on how to get started, who to reach out to, and what is the smart way to creatively invest in real estate. I don't have any license. I was hoping someone could take me under their wing and help me get started. Any takers?

@Kenny Mullen! Welcome to BP and to real estate investing in general! I by no means can take you under my wings as I am learning to fly myself - however, after being here for about 2 weeks I can share with you with:

1. Know clearly why you want to start investing in real estate. Then, don't lose that focus.

2. These BP forums, articles, podcasts, etc. have a WEALTH of knowledge out there! Be sure to search for some keywords or topics that you want to explore and look for (I'm sure there are) other conversations that have already happened that address your concerns.

3. Ask questions ask questions! Thankfully, the BP community is very kind and willing to answer whatever questions that may come up - so don't feel "embarrassed" if you have a question that you may think is silly, because you may be helping someone else get their questions voiced.

4. View the profiles of those that seem to be doing what you want to be doing and connect with them to learn from their experience. Maybe there's a particular market you want to enter, maybe you want to understand how a certain investing strategy worked for that person and how could it be applied to you, etc. Just don't hesitate to reach out - I've received nothing but friendly responses back so far.

5. In person Meetups! BP or MeetUp.com hand REI Associations have frequent meetups basically everywhere in the US (from what I'm understanding) - take the first physical step of putting yourself out there and start connecting with people that have done the walk and can provide advice/connections for your area!

Hopefully that was helpful. Don't lose the fire! Persistence will be key.
