Hi!  My family and I have been in CO for 10 years now.  My husband and I grew up in Hawaii and decided to move here for growth and opportunity.  We now have two young boys and a primary home that has some equity.  We are both hospital workers and looking into purchasing/investing in our first profitable rental property.   As for RE experience, there isn't much. This is the second primary home we have purchased, first one we built from new and second one we bought at a good price and "fixed it up".  In the current home that we are living in, we have done a remodel of the main floor and finished the walkout basement which we currently rent out to short term (vacation) renters form time to time.

We are hoping to use the equity in our home to purchase this first rental property.

A little weary because the prices of homes have gone up so much here in the Denver metro area in the past few years.

I have been listening to podcast on my way to work and love all the overwhelming info that BP has to offer but now need more direct guidance.

Welcome Jessica. The market around here is a little ridiculous, but you've just got to play it correctly. There are folks purchasing investments every day that make money. Pulling the equity you have is a good way to get started, but you've just got to be diligent about where you are putting that money.

If you and your husband ever want to get a drink and just chat over ideas let me know. I'm just up the street.
