Hello! My name is Tim Huffman. I have almost no experience in real estate (other than purchasing my home).

I'm primarily interested in purchasing single-family homes in my area to use as rental properties, at least to get started, primarily because I'm reasonably handy (which should help to keep costs down), and because that seems like a fairly simple way to get started.

I'm still definitely in the Learning phase. I joined this group to try to do so, and get a plan together before jumping in.

My short-term goals are to buy a rental property, get some experience under my belt, and then repeat that process until I can replace my wife's income (at which point she can quit, and possibly act as property manager full-time), and help pay for the kids' college.

I hope to learn a lot from the users here, and look forward to an exciting new phase of life!
