Discovered BP after purchasing my first buy and hold property in South Eastern, PA which I have been managing for the past year. Have been reading posts and articles over the past few months and have found them very helpful (Thanks everyone!). My next goal to fix and flip a SFH in the same area. I would like to be able to transition from a full time job as a marketer to real estate. Looking forward to connecting with like minded individuals here on BiggerPockets

Jarell - If you want to connect with "real estate business people" you gotta learn to ask the right questions and learn to network. Have you been to any of your local REI meetings so that you can actually shake hands with local investors? And collect business cards of all the players in your area? Theres meeting every month for FREE!

Once you connect what are you gonna talk about? Do you have any properties you're looking to sell if you wholesale? Are you looking for a mentor?? What kind of "business people" are you looking for?

See what I'm saying....if you want to connect and need help you gotta give other people a reason to want to connect...what are you offering or asking for?  If you just ask generic questions most of the time your gonna get generic answers back.

Just my 2 cents...
