Hi BP Community,

I'm excited to be a part of the community, have been listening to the podcasts for a week or so and loving it, listened to over a dozen haha.

I was born and raised in Pendleton, NY a small agricultural town of about 4500, 30 minutes north of Buffalo, in Niagara County. After studying in China on an exchange program during high school I switched my plans and decided to move to the Big Apple, New York City.

Now I am a licensed NYS real estate agent as of June 2015 and will be graduating with a bachelors degree in International Business Management from Pace University.

In a RE capacity I focus on new construction/new renovation single and multifamily(2-4) homes in NE Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, & Long Island, as well as luxury apartment sales in NYC. In my current capacity I have been assisting one of the top real estate brokers in the Bronx, learning step by step the knowledge required to best serve our clients.

While studying at Pace I have taken various classes detailing effective and efficient management theories and general business practices. The education has provided me the right tools necessary to work productively in any environment, home or abroad, in an ever evolving industry.

I am looking forward to taking this experience and integrating into real estate. Specifically my goals are to create enough passive income to retire my parents, pay of my student debt, and live a comfortable life without the fear of money or bills. I've been studying both my home market of Buffalo and the 5 boroughs in NYC in preparation to invest in rental properties after I graduate this May.

More posts to come on some of the projects I'm currently working!

Welcome aboard the vibrant BP community. You already have some tools in your toolbox....no pun intended.

You mentioned an interest in rentals and as such, I added a couple links of interest

http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/01/04/how-to-rent-your-house/ (house rental guide)

http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/02/22/buying-rental-property/ (how to buy a rental property)

Now, you simply have to work on the other elements to progress your REI pursuit.

Ok, now that you have taken your initial step, below are some quick links to get engaged.

REI books suggested by BPers

Lastly, this site thrives on interactions and as such we encourage two way exchanges and look forward to educational and thought provoking ideas relevant to REI.
