HI (sort of) Newbie from Raleigh NC /Pittsburgh PA

Ok, so this is a huge jump for me actually making a first post! I've been kind of lurking on BiggerPockets for over a year, sponging up information - reading articles/blogs, attending webinars, reading posts from my keyword alerts, etc.

I currently live in Raleigh NC but am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and looking to move back hopefully in the 'relatively' near future. I'm currently under contract for a duplex in my current area to house hack for a while after fixing the heck out of it, but as a lot of folks probably experience, a lot of interesting things have happened along the way of this one, and closing keeps getting pushed out. Hopeful that all will be resolved soon :).

I like involvement in fixing things up, there's something therapeutic and satisfying to me transforming something, even small things, or getting something to work again. I like learning the 'how' and 'why' because then paying forward knowledge and experience keeps that positive flow going. I hope that makes sense.

I want to put my eggs into several baskets, because why not? I'm attempting my first renovating buy-and-hold, I'd like one solid flip a year (I know, just one??), self-storage, and another idea I've had since my 20s but I'm only putting that one on my profile HA. 

I can research the h*** out of something, paralyze myself and do nothing, or I can research and take action. So this introduction is my 'action' in the BP community. :) Thanks guys
