Hello BP, my name is Tyler Witkowski and I'm 25 and brand new to the investing world. I am from Rockford IL, and don't have much to any experience in real estate but it has always been a dream. I'm looking to set my life free from the burden of the typical 9-5 job, but in my case it's 6pm-4:30am grave yard job. The reason I'm interested now more then ever is because I have a 2 year old son and I want to give him the whole world and my time and I see this as a career that can give me exactly that.

I'm looking to invest in rental, flip, buy and hold and possibly wholesale. Im not exactly sure what I want my "niche" to be yet so I'm in the learning phase. My only experience with real estate is from helping my father years ago with odd jobs at his rental property's for section 8 in Chicago, back when I lived there. Also I did roof contracting for about a year and a half. So I know how dedicated I must be to become successful in this career path.

I've learned about this forum from the podcast and have been listening to it ever since I found out, about a month ago. I've been binge listening to it while at work for 40 hours a week. I must say, it is such a great source of knowledge and thank you guys for this infinate knowledge you provide all of us.

I plan on buying a property within a year from now to either A, have as a rental property. Or B, flip. Those are my two main interests when it comes down to it, but with little money that I can invest I'm not sure those are intiarly the best options. Unless I find an investor of course.

So here I am, and ready to learn and see where this life will take me.

Tyler,  We are having another meetup this Thursday, 2/4, if you can make it.  You can find details under BP Networking Events here.  Let me know if you can make it and I will add you to the list.
