New to investing. New Jersey area

Thank you for such a warm welcome. I feel like i have found the one missing piece on this journey, i will level with you all, i am terrified of starting this because in the past (2005) I tried to flip a house in CA and it was a disaster, a perfect example of what not to do, and although i learned a great deal as a result i lost a ton of money, ended up bankrupt and also learn to be afraid. I have read many books, seen many videos, work diligently on my Credit. I have the knowledge, all i am lacking is that first successful deal that can boost my confidence to do another.
What's up Franklin, welcome to BP - I'm from Jersey too and own some rentals in a town called Franklin. It's a sign!
Some people put themselves 10 feet deep in student debt that lasts years for a degree that may never earn them money, you on the other hand, earned huge class credits in flipping - imagine how your next one is gonna go considering what you learned. Probably way better. You should actually be proud of trying.
What kind of investing are you looking to do?
Welcome. I am sure you will do well with your great experience. You are in the right place. I suggest listening to the podcats. They are great.
