Young Fort Collins Newbie
Hello BP Community!
My name is Ryan McIntyre and I am a 22 year old investing newbie in the Fort Collins, Colorado area. I currently attend Colorado State University (finance major) and I'm about to take on one of the best adventures of my life: marriage, so investing seems a little less scary right now! I have been researching and collecting vast amounts of information over the last four months through books and the BP podcasts, and I have now dedicated my future to investing the right way. At this point I am looking to gain experience (one can only learn so much before taking action) and build mutually beneficial relationships locally and with BP members. Don't worry, I am not the typical newbie that is going to bombard my connections with questions that can be found on the forums or a blog. I sincerely want to get to know all of you better before we're strictly talking business. The niche I want to get into is buying and holding small multi-families and use a flipping operation as a catalyst for my portfolio. Congrats on both the pending nuptials and the foray into the big bad world of REI. I wish you the very best in both endeavors. Both will have their own versions of ups and downs, but if you stick to your commitments in each arena, learn the art of compromise and willingness to be flexible, and understand that the two most important words in your vocabulary after "I do" will be "Yes Dear", you'll make it just fine.
