New Member in Fairfax, VA

Hi, I'm Joe Carpel living in Fairfax, VA. I'm trying figure out the best way for me to break into the real estate market. It has been my long time dream to make a living in real estate and I would lowe to make it my full time job within the next few years, or sooner if possible.

I'm hoping to connect with some local investors and I'm sure I can bring something to the table.  Right now I'm trying to figure out what to do with my current town house and it's equity.  I would appreciate any help in showing me the best way to get started.

Welcome! Glad you're here. There are lots of ways to learn more and get involved in the local real estate investor community in NOVA. Bigger Pockets is great. I'd also recommend joining a local group or two... I'm a member of Capital REI, which is run by @Roger Lin, @Justin Pierce, and @John Rubino.  This is a great group that meets in Fairfax City each month.  Nice group with lots of good people in it. I can provide more details if you're curious. 

Also, I'd be happy to point you in the right direction for things to think about and consider as you make a decision regarding your next steps.
