Hi Everyone, I've been a landlord for a while and in the past few years working with partners. We have several triplex buildings (15 units) in a LLC (mortgages in our names) and would like to grow this to over 100 units. We prefer the buy and hold strategy as we have full time careers and work the properties passively versus fixing and flipping on a fulltime basis.

We are looking for a mentor to help guide us through the commercial/portfolio lending process as we have bumped up against the mortgage limit. It is all based in Massachusetts right now and although we have thought of going out of state….the thought of not being there and trusting a PM….well I guess we need a mentor for this too!

I guess this makes us totally rookies and need all the guidance we can hope for to get where everyone is at on this site!  We have started listening to the podcasts and reading the posts.

    Hey Rich, welcome to BP!

I also invest out of Haverhill. We have properties in Haverhill and Lawrence right now but like you mentioned we have thought about investing out of state because of the prices. Its harder and harder to find  good deals that fit our requirements.
