New biggerpockets and investing

Hello everybody, my name is Kyle and I am looking to get started in investing.  I live in south central Montana near Billings.  I grew up on a farm and ranch in the same area I live now and currently work as a drafter for a structural steel fabricator.  I don't have much experience in real estate other than the experience of when my wife and I bought our house in 2011.  I feel like my market of Montana is a little pond with a lot of fish as far as real estate investing goes and don't know exactly where to start.  I just wanted to introduce myself and possibly get some guidance.  I am eager to learn and please feel free to ask me questions and comment thanks in advance.

Kyle, I'm pretty familiar with the area; I have family in Billings, Red Lodge, and in between. I've been in Real Estate about 14 years as an appraiser, been investing for 4 or 5 years now. Slowly, but wanting to grow more. I'm in the process of building a house right now and I hope when the dust from that settled down a little bit I will be able to be more active.
