Not analysis Paralysis but Education Paralysis!!!!!
OMG WERE HAS BP BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!! I just want to start off by thanking the founders of BP because you people have literally changed my mindset and future with the invaluable information this site provides. With that being said let me introduce myself. I WANT TO BE AND NEED TO BE AN RE INVESTOR!!!!! Real Estate is my passion!!!
I got into RE back in 2006 when I obtained my RE sales license but I never really utilized it due to the lack of training, cold feet and the market crash. Fast forward to 2008 the market crashed and I let my license expire!! Anyway, because real estate is my passion I went back to school to obtain my IL Brokers license ( I sit for the exam this month) and I want to really take off this time around. My problem is I have EDUCATION PARALYSIS LOL I feel like I need to learn every single thing there is to know about real estate before I start and because I only know a fraction I'm afraid to make the first move. I'm really afraid of getting the DO NOT PASS GO AND DO NOT COLLECT 200.00 card on a bad deal in this real life monopoly game lol However, I've learned on BP that majority of this business is learn as you go but like I said I'm stuck on the learn part. I'm focused on being a buy and hold investor (learned that from BP ;-)) I need just a little push off the cliff so I can take off. Any advice or Real estate clubs in Chicago you might recommend is appreciated. Alright that was just little about me. Thanks for reading. Back to listening to my podcast ;-)
Again thank you BP this site it the best and I absolutely love the podcast.

Glad to see you starting the right way with a real education in RE. You want motivation? Look at your checkbook, is the balance where you would like it to be? If not, just get hungry and get to work!
Here's a trick for self motivation, cut out everything you like to do that requires money!
No theater, no going out to eat, no steaks on the grill, no booze, no new clothes unless really necessary for work, no Starbucks......you get the idea, deprive yourself until you accomplish a money making goal! You'll get hungry!
Save that "blow money"!
No one is entitled to the good life, even those with money work to keep it, unless they are just spoiled brats. Take on the attitude that the joys in life must be paid for with new money from your efforts.
In a month, you'll probably be signing a contract of some kind. Treat yourself, but don't spend money that hasn't been paid in hand! Get paid and treat yourself again, about 5% of your earnings the rest goes to taxes and back into the business. Rinse and repeat until you're satisfied with that checking account balance. :)
