Hello All,

My name is Kevin. I was born and raised in the Detroit suburbs but currently reside in Amherst, NH. I currently work full-time as an IT Project Manager in the healthcare industry. I’m a newer member to Bigger Pockets and even though my wife and I own two multi-family units (and a 3rd to close at month’s end), I still consider myself a beginner in real estate investing. I hoping to gain more knowledge about real estate investing via the BP forum, blogs, and podcasts (30 down so far). Our goal is grow our investment portfolio to a point where at least one of us can leave our day jobs.

Some short-term actions we want to achieve:

  • Further develop our business plan
  • Determine if we should create a LLC
  • Further define our exit strategies

Looking forward to future discussions on the forum!

Hi Kevin, welcome to BP.

This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.

This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in NH and MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.

Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have.  As Ann mentioned there is the NHREIA in Manchester and the really good new meeting in Nashua.  Besides that lots of options in MA.  I'd recommend checking out the NEREIA in Chelmsford.  Mike has a couple meetings on the North Shore and Ann's Black Diamond meeting in Waltham is my favorite right now (if you want to write off some miles:) ).  Lots of other options around Boston and south as well.
