Hello Bigger Pockets!  I am new to real estate investing and to the Bigger Pockets forum.  I became interested in real estate after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad (shocker).  I have since read a few other books that have taught me that real estate is a great investment for building wealth and generating passive income.  I graduated from undergrad in May 2014 and am currently working on my graduate program (I will graduate in December of 2015).  I have worked quite a few internships and have been able to save up enough money for a downpayment on a rental property.  My goal is to buy a property in the Bryan/College Station area, live in one room, and rent out the others.  When I move out I plan to have the unit as my first rental property.  I am fortunate enough to have a loan from a family member so I won't need to go through a bank for this one.  The only thing now is to find an affordable deal where the numbers make sense.  Excited to get connected to the members of BP!
