Hi everyone, I'm Greg from Edmonton, Alberta and along with my long time girlfriend I will be renting out my current house when we find and move to our next home. We've lived here for 8 years and have upgraded significantly over the years. I've done the the reno's myself (full bathroom gut, walk in pantry addition, bedroom gut, various others) and am very proud of of the work I've done and all I've learned while doing it.

i want to take this experience, knowledge and love of renovating and apply it to buying and upgrading homes for rental income. Eventually I'd like to be able to quit my job (wellhead sales/project management) and focus full time on renting and start flipping as well.

We are excited to start learning everything we can and will hopefully be successful in finding our first tennants and growing our little empire.

You'll find a wealth of information on Bigger Pockets and a great network of people. Edmonton is a great market to start investing, I just caution you to not quit your job too early. There are lots of posts on this topic so be sure to seek them out and spend some time reading through them
