Young & Ambitious from Pittsburgh
I'm 20 years old from Pittsburgh, i have a 3 year old son i love more then anything, and im currently in barber school about to graduate. looking to learn as much as possible im working on building capitol & credit now. so soon i can buy my first property soon. I just started really looking into real estate and commercial real estate this year but i feel like this is my calling and when im dedicated to something i am so i want to pursue this. i always had entrepreneur mind state. i just have been focusing on educating myself as much as i can while trying to buying credit and capitol.
i was thinking a good way to get my start off would be to start with maybe a triplex and rent out the 3 units, to produce some cash flow and build my equity.
Then eventually get in commercial maybe like Apartment building after i get used to being a landlord and everything from my first building.
Im looking for any advice on what would be a good way to start when getting into real estate , im young just turned 20 so time is on my side. i dont want to be impatient and jump into anything although i have some capitol i just want to focus on building capitol and credit while educating myself and meeting new people, i feel things will fall into place when the times right.
Sincerely, Zak

Hey @Zakari Takis ,
I'm just learning and diving in as well. I saw your idea about the triplex and like it, however what about renting out 2 units, and living in the third. You'll be able to qualify for a FHA loan (only available if you're living in the residence), and that'll give you a "super low" interest. If you do your due diligence and run your numbers through the BP rental properties calculator you could have your mortgage paid each month by your renters! Just and idea!
Welcome to the BP family!
Yours,
