New Member - Mostly New Investor - Methuen, MA

Hi All,

I'm a new member here and doing due diligence by introducing myself. I claim to be a "mostly new investor" because I currently rent my former primary residence (single-family) in Worcester, MA and I manage a relative's rental property. BUT, I have yet to purchase a true investment property so, here I am, trying to learn from experienced people and planning to do things (buy and hold) the right way.

I look forward to chatting with whoever has an interest!

Best wishes

-Dave

Hi David, welcome to BP.

This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.

This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.

Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have.  You would want to check out the NEREIA in Chelmsford and @Justin Silverio 's quarterly meetup in Reading.  Well worth the drive is going to the Black Diamond meeting in Waltham (2nd meeting in Worcester too if you are out that way).  There are also a couple other meetings on the North Shore.  Actually there is also a brand new meeting in Nashua starting next Wednesday if you want to check that out.  Many other options if you get down towards Boston and South too.
