Finally getting around to this!

I've been meaning to do this for a VERY long time, but kept forgetting. I finally sent myself an email reminder, which I'm going to do from now on...but I digress.

I am a 20 year old who sees value in things that are not necessarily viewed by my parents as "practical" (i.e. learning by being hands-on instead of by studying the theory - not that theory isn't valuable, too). I am not the kind of person who can sit at a desk all day - I have to be hands-on, visiting homes, rehabbing, etc.

I live with my parents, who REALLY don't want me to get involved in real estate. But no matter what, I want to do this! Real estate is the magnet, and I'm the piece of metal.

So, yeah, that's me! :)

In my opinion the very best thing you can do at this stage would be to go to school & get your RE license.

Your looking at about $2,500 by the time you pay for school, books, dues, mls, etc.

If you are truly looking to be an operator in this business & have little capital to start with this is the most effective path. Many doors will open for you if you work hard.
