Newbie from Northern Virginia/South Houston area

Hi guys im Gilbert, I've been married for 1 year and just turned 21. I have a full time job as a Systems administrator and go to school part time. My wife is working part time and is in school to become a nurse. I am interested in getting into real estate, I like the Northern Virginia area but it is much too expensive to buy, but my family lives south of Houston and houses are dirt cheap. I want to begin buying homes and rent them out, so I have joined BP to help me with my goals. If anyone has any advice let me know. Thanks! Looking forward this journey.
