Newbie on the block in Delray Beach, FL

Just wanted to introduce myself here on the forums and take advantage of the wealth of information available on the site.  I already downloaded the e-book but have yet to start on the podcasts, but they really seem to be worth it from all the rave here about them! :)  

Looking to start out with fix and flips, eventually move into buy/hold and long term projection is getting into commercial real estate!  Currently in the process of getting my real estate license and cant wait to get started!  Are there any places you guys would recommend to find networking events and such for locals?  Have some big goals to fulfill and look forward to getting them started with the biggerpocket community!  :)
