Intro from yet another RE investor newbie from San Francisco Bay area

Hi Everyone,

My name is Thomas and I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. My only real estate investing experience that I have is setting up my IRA to invest in out of state turn key investment properties. Outside of that I consider myself a newbie in real estate investing with no sales or marketing experience. My day job is working for a small start up company in the bay area that has nothing to do with Real Estate. I first found the BP podcasts while randomly browsing through iTunes. I decided to start listening from the beginning and I'm working my way through all the podcast…. great, great stuff. I can't get enough. Needless to say I joined the BP website. But now I'm faced with too much information overload. My real estate goal is to figure out what strategy best fits my current situation for investing. At this point in time I think I better develop a business plan to help me get started and stay focused. Looking forward to all the guidance, suggestions and feedback.

Thomas

@Account Closed ,

Welcome to the right place! Tons of great Bay Area investors on the site, and some great meetups too. The next of which is going to be with @Johnson H. and @Jay Y. next Friday at Whisper's Café in San Jose at 6ish? PM.

It's an awesome place to get advice and see what others are doing. I'm sure @Account Closed , @Jay Hinrichs , and some others will give you some advice about investing in out-of-state turnkey properties. Like most investments, proceed with caution, and understand exactly what you are getting into with your own due diligence. Listen to the good AND the bad. We all take different risks with our investing..

My best recommendation is to network, network, network, and you've taken a great first step! Good luck, and don't let all the info overload you. There's just a lot of different ways to make money! Find something that works for you, your lifestyle, financial goals, risk tolerance, etc. Good luck Thomas!
