A big 'thank you' from new investor in Atlanta, GA

Wow, I wish I had found Bigger Pockets years ago! My wife and I have talked about investing in real estate but never took action, primarily because all the books and websites I researched were the typical "gurus" trying to sell a product. I found BP a couple weeks ago and have been devouring content like crazy, not only from the BP website but also from the BP podcast, which I listen to during my morning workout and commute. THANK YOU to all the talented and helpful individuals on this site who provide content and participate in the forums. I really feel this is just what we needed to give us a kick in the pants to get started!

My day job is managing large commercial construction projects for a national general contractor, but I have always been passionate about fixer-upper houses and have put plenty of sweat equity into my own in the past. My wife and I have a goal to buy our first SFH (flip or rental) this year and to continue to grow our investment business in the years to come. I look forward to learning more from each of you and to providing valuable feedback and advice wherever I can.
